Question 1

How much room is there in the third row of a Volvo XC90?

Accepted Answer

Enough for children, and for adults on short trips. With all seven seats up the boot shrinks to room for a few bags, while with the third row folded it is very large.

Question 2

Is the Volvo XC90 expensive to tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

In cantons that tax weight or power, such as Bern, Lucerne or St. Gallen, a heavy XC90 pays well above a mid-size car. Where displacement counts, as in Valais or Thurgau, the second generation's 2.0-litre engine is taxed moderately.

Question 3

Is the Volvo XC90 a good car for ski trips?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with AWD, winter tyres and its large boot it handles snowy access roads and carries a family's skis and luggage. Air suspension, where fitted, lifts the body for deeper snow.

Question 4

Is a new Volvo XC90 worth it over a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new XC90 comes as the B5 AWD mild hybrid with 250 hp or the T8 AWD plug-in hybrid with 461 hp, in Core, Plus and Ultra trims, with the full warranty. A used one has already lost much of its value.
