Question 1

Which petrol engine is best in a used VW T-Roc?

Accepted Answer

The 1.5 TSI with 150 hp suits the T-Roc best for most drivers: quieter than the three-cylinder 1.0 and still economical. The 2.0 TSI makes sense with 4Motion for a lot of mountain driving.

Question 2

Is the 1.0 TSI enough for a VW T-Roc?

Accepted Answer

In town and on flat motorways, yes, but loaded on Swiss passes it has to work hard, and the 1.5 copes more easily. It was also sold only with a manual gearbox in its early years.

Question 3

How powerful is the VW T-Roc R?

Accepted Answer

The T-Roc R has a 2.0 TSI with 300 hp, the seven-speed DSG and 4Motion all-wheel drive. On a used one, check for a complete service history and for worn brakes and tyres.

Question 4

Which petrol versions does the new VW T-Roc come in?

Accepted Answer

The new T-Roc runs on the 1.5 eTSI mild hybrid with 116 or 150 hp and the 2.0 eTSI with 204 hp and 4Motion, all with DSG, at list price beside the used cars.
