Which used VW Golf is the best buy?

The Golf 7 with the 1.5 TSI or 2.0 TDI is mature and affordable. The Golf 8 has more modern infotainment, though before its 2024 update it was considered awkward to use.

What should I check on a used Golf GTE or eHybrid?

That the plug-in hybrid was charged regularly and that the battery shows a good state of health. Since the 2024 update, the electric range is much longer.

Is the DSG gearbox in the VW Golf reliable?

The DSG works well if its oil was changed on schedule. On a test drive it should shift without jerks pulling away and manoeuvring.

Which versions does the new VW Golf come in, in Switzerland?

The new Golf comes with the 1.5 eTSI mild hybrid, as the eHybrid and GTE plug-ins, as a 2.0 TDI and as a 2.0 TSI with 4Motion, all with DSG and also as a Variant, at list price beside the used cars.
