Question 1

What is the difference between Suzuki Dualjet and Boosterjet engines?

Accepted Answer

Dualjet engines are naturally aspirated, with two injectors per cylinder for efficiency, while Boosterjet engines are turbocharged with direct injection. The 1.0 and 1.4 Boosterjet pull harder at low revs; the Dualjet is simpler.

Question 2

Which Suzuki petrol engine suits Swiss mountain roads?

Accepted Answer

The 1.4 Boosterjet in the Vitara, S-Cross and Swift Sport, as its turbo keeps its pulling power on long climbs, ideally with AllGrip on the SUVs. The small Dualjet engines are frugal but need revs on steep passes.

Question 3

What does the 12V mild hybrid add to a used Suzuki?

Accepted Answer

A belt-driven starter-generator and a small battery assist the engine when pulling away and make stop-start smoother. It saves a little fuel but cannot drive the car on electricity.

Question 4

Which petrol versions does the new Suzuki range offer in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

The Swift, S-Cross and Vitara come with mild-hybrid petrol engines, with manual or automatic gearboxes, and the Swift also as a 4x4. Each version sits at its list price beside the used cars.
