Question 1

Is the Skoda Enyaq SUV or the Enyaq Coupé more practical?

Accepted Answer

The SUV is the more practical: its upright roof gives more rear headroom and a slightly larger boot. The Coupé trades a little of both for its sloping roofline and slightly better aerodynamics.

Question 2

Which Skoda Enyaq has all-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

Versions with an x in the name, such as the 80x or 85x, and the RS have a second motor on the front axle. The others drive the rear wheels only, which with good winter tyres copes with most Swiss roads.

Question 3

How do you check the battery of a used Skoda Enyaq?

Accepted Answer

Ask for a state-of-health (SoH) report from a Skoda dealer's diagnosis. The high-voltage battery has its own manufacturer warranty, typically eight years or 160,000 km, so check how much of it remains.

Question 4

Does a used Skoda Enyaq pay car tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the canton: Zürich and Solothurn exempt electric cars, Bern charges half the rate, and Schwyz taxes them like any other car. The holder's canton of residence decides, not the seller's.

Question 5

Which versions does the new Skoda Enyaq come in?

Accepted Answer

Every new Enyaq has an 82 kWh battery: the 85 drives the rear wheels with 286 PS, the 85x adds all-wheel drive with 299 PS, and the RS has 340 PS. Trims run from Selection to Sportline and RS.
