What should I check on a used SEAT Alhambra?

That the sliding doors open and close smoothly, electric ones included, and that their rails and seals are not worn. On a 2.0 TDI, ask whether the particulate filter has given trouble and whether the DSG, if fitted, was serviced on schedule.

Is the SEAT Alhambra the same as the VW Sharan?

Yes, the two were built side by side in Portugal and share their body, engines and gearboxes. They differ mainly in styling and equipment, so a well-kept Alhambra is worth the same scrutiny as a Sharan.

Does SEAT still make a seven-seater with sliding doors?

No, the Alhambra ended in 2020. SEAT's seven-seater after it is the Tarraco, an SUV with conventional rear doors and a higher seating position.
