Question 1

What is the difference between a Peugeot Hybrid and a Plug-in Hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The Hybrid 136 and 145 pairs a 1.2 petrol with a 48-volt electric motor and a small battery that charges while driving. The Plug-in Hybrid has a much larger battery, charges from a socket and can cover everyday trips on electricity.

Question 2

What should I check on a used Peugeot plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The battery's state of health from a Peugeot diagnostic, that the charging cable comes with the car, and how it was used. A plug-in rarely charged runs mostly on petrol, and its electric range may be well below new.

Question 3

Does Hybrid4 mean four-wheel drive on a Peugeot?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Hybrid4 adds an electric motor on the rear axle, giving all-wheel drive on the 3008 Hybrid4, the 508 PSE and the older diesel HYbrid4 models. Plain Hybrid versions drive the front wheels only.

Question 4

Which plug-in hybrids does the new Peugeot range offer?

Accepted Answer

The new 308 and 308 SW plug-in has 195 hp, the 3008 and 5008 225 hp and the 408 240 hp, all with an automatic gearbox, in Style, Allure, GT or GT Exclusive trims depending on the model.
