Which Nissan Qashqai has a manual gearbox?

The current Qashqai offers a six-speed manual only with the 1.3 mild hybrid and front-wheel drive; four-wheel drive and e-Power are automatic only. Earlier generations had manuals with most petrol and diesel engines.

Are there manual Nissans with four-wheel drive?

Yes, older X-Trail diesels and the Navara pick-up often pair 4x4 with a manual gearbox, which suits mountain roads and towing. Check that the four-wheel-drive modes engage properly.

What should I check on the clutch of a used Nissan Navara or X-Trail?

Whether the clutch bites high or slips under load, especially if the car has towed. A rattle at idle on a diesel can point to a worn dual-mass flywheel.
