Question 1

Which engines does the new Skoda Kodiaq have?

Accepted Answer

The 1.5 TSI m-HEV mild hybrid with 150 hp and the 1.5 TSI iV plug-in with 204 hp drive the front wheels. The 2.0 TDI with 193 hp, the 2.0 TSI with 204 hp and the RS with 265 hp all have 4x4.

Question 2

How far does the Skoda Kodiaq iV go on electricity?

Accepted Answer

The plug-in has a battery of about 20 kWh and a rated electric range of around 120 km, enough for most daily commutes without starting the engine.

Question 3

Should I buy a new or a used Skoda Kodiaq?

Accepted Answer

A new Kodiaq brings the factory warranty and the second generation with its plug-in option. A used first-generation one costs much less and was often ordered with seven seats.

Question 4

What taxes does a new Skoda Kodiaq pay in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

The 4% automobile tax is already in the list price. The annual car tax then depends on your canton: some tax weight, where a heavy 4x4 or plug-in pays more, others CO₂ or power.
