Question 1

Is the Peugeot Hybrid 145 a full hybrid?

Accepted Answer

No, it is a 48-volt mild hybrid: its small battery recharges while driving and lets the car creep and coast on electric power at low speed. It cannot be plugged in, unlike Peugeot's plug-in hybrids.

Question 2

Can you still buy a new Peugeot with a manual gearbox in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

No, every new petrol Peugeot on the Swiss price list is a Hybrid with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic. Manual gearboxes remain only among used cars.

Question 3

Which Peugeot models offer the Hybrid 110?

Accepted Answer

The 208 and 2008, beside their Hybrid 145. The 308 and 308 SW, 408, 3008 and 5008 come with the 145 PS version only.

Question 4

Does a new petrol Peugeot pay more car tax than an electric one?

Accepted Answer

Usually, but it depends on your canton, as each sets its own basis. Zürich and Solothurn exempt electric cars entirely, while a mild hybrid is taxed as a petrol car, with rebates for efficient models in some cantons.
