Question 1

Which versions of the new Peugeot 2008 are sold in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

The electric 2008 with 156 hp, a 54 kWh battery and a WLTP range of up to 436 km, and the Hybrid with 110 or 145 hp and an automatic gearbox. The GT trim comes with the electric motor or the 145 hp Hybrid.

Question 2

How does the Peugeot 2008 Hybrid work?

Accepted Answer

It pairs a 1.2 petrol engine with an electric motor built into a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and a small battery that charges while driving. It cannot be plugged in, but can pull away and creep in traffic on electricity alone.

Question 3

Is a new or used Peugeot 2008 the better buy in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

A new 2008 brings the factory warranty and today's hybrid and electric drives, but loses most value in its first years. A young used one costs less, and most are PureTech petrol or BlueHDi diesel cars.

Question 4

Does a new electric Peugeot 2008 pay car tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

That depends on your canton: Zürich and Solothurn exempt electric cars, Vaud spares a new one for 24 months, and others tax it in full. The 4% automobile tax is already in the list price.
