Question 1

Which versions of the new Opel Grandland are sold in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

The Grandland Electric with 210 PS and 73 kWh, 232 PS and 97 kWh, or 325 PS and 73 kWh, the Hybrid 48V with 145 PS and the Plug-in Hybrid with 225 PS. All have an automatic gearbox.

Question 2

How far does the new Opel Grandland Electric go?

Accepted Answer

Up to about 690 km by WLTP with the 97 kWh battery, and around 500 km with the 73 kWh one. On a cold motorway trip over the Alps, expect clearly less.

Question 3

What do the Opel Grandland Edition, GS and Ultimate trims add?

Accepted Answer

Edition is the entry level, GS adds a sportier look and more equipment, and Ultimate is the top trim, offered with the 325 PS Electric. Each version shows its exact equipment.

Question 4

Does a new Opel Grandland Electric pay car tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your canton: Zürich, Solothurn and Glarus exempt electric cars, while cantons that tax weight or power charge a heavy SUV like this in full or with a rebate. The automobile tax is already in the list price.

Question 5

Is the Opel Grandland the same car as the Grandland X?

Accepted Answer

It is its successor: the Grandland X of 2017 dropped the X at its 2021 facelift, and the Grandland of 2024 is a new car on a new platform, now with an electric version.
