Question 1

Which engines does the new Opel Corsa have in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

A 1.2 Turbo petrol with 100 PS and a manual gearbox, the Hybrid 48V with 110 or 145 PS and an automatic, and the Corsa Electric with 136, 156 or 281 PS. The electric versions carry a 50 or 51 kWh battery.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Opel Corsa Edition, GS and GSE?

Accepted Answer

Edition is the entry trim, and GS adds a sportier look and more equipment. GSE is the most powerful Corsa Electric, with 281 PS; each version shows its exact equipment.

Question 3

How far does the new Opel Corsa Electric go on a charge?

Accepted Answer

Between about 350 and 430 km by WLTP, depending on the version, with the 156 PS GS going furthest. On a cold day or on the motorway, expect noticeably less.

Question 4

Does a new Opel Corsa Electric pay car tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

That depends on your canton: Zürich, Solothurn and Glarus exempt electric cars, while others give a rebate or tax them in full. The automobile tax is already in the list price.

Question 5

Should I buy a new or a used Opel Corsa?

Accepted Answer

A new Corsa brings the factory warranty and the current hybrid and electric drivetrains, but loses most value in its first years. A young used Corsa costs less and may keep part of its warranty.
