Question 1

Which engines does the new Mercedes V-Class have?

Accepted Answer

Three diesels, the V 220 d with 163 hp, the V 250 d with 190 hp and the V 300 d with 237 hp, and the petrol V 300 with 231 hp. Every version drives through an automatic gearbox.

Question 2

What do compact, long and extra-long mean on the V-Class?

Accepted Answer

Compact and long share the same wheelbase and differ in rear overhang, while extra-long adds a longer wheelbase. The longer the body, the more luggage fits behind the last row of seats.

Question 3

What separates the V-Class Style, Avantgarde and Exclusive trims?

Accepted Answer

Style adds comfort equipment over the base version, Avantgarde brings a more upmarket finish, and Exclusive sits at the top with the most luxurious interior. Each version shows its exact equipment.

Question 4

Is there a new Mercedes V-Class with 4MATIC in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

Yes, some versions add 4MATIC all-wheel drive, such as the V 250 d Style L Trend 4MATIC and the V 300 d Exclusive L Swiss Edition 4MATIC. On a heavy van it helps on snowy mountain roads.

Question 5

Should I buy a new or a used Mercedes V-Class?

Accepted Answer

A new V-Class brings the factory warranty and the latest update with a free choice of length and trim. A young used one costs less and often has the same 2.0-litre diesel and 9G-Tronic gearbox.
