Question 1

The 350 d with 286 hp and 450 d with 367 hp diesels, the 450 with 381 hp and V8 580 with 537 hp petrols, and the 450 e plug-in hybrid with 435 hp. AMG adds the GLE 53 with 449 hp, the GLE 53 Hybrid with 585 hp and the GLE 63 S with 612 hp.

Question 2

How far does the new Mercedes GLE 450 e go on electricity?

Accepted Answer

About 100 km, from a battery of around 26 kWh, slightly more as an SUV than as a Coupé. The AMG GLE 53 Hybrid has a 25 kWh battery and close to 90 km.

Question 3

What does the annual tax on a new Mercedes GLE depend on in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

On your canton: some tax weight, others power, displacement or CO₂, so a heavy, powerful SUV like the GLE is taxed very differently from one canton to the next. The automobile tax on import is already in the list price.

Question 4

Should I buy a new Mercedes GLE or a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new GLE brings the full factory warranty and the exact specification you order. A young used one has already taken its steepest depreciation and often has warranty left.
