Question 1

Is the new Maserati Grecale a hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The four-cylinder versions are mild hybrids: a 2.0 turbo petrol with 48-volt assistance, at 250, 300 or 330 hp. They are never plugged in, and the V6 versions have no hybrid help at all.

Question 2

What engine is in the new petrol Maserati GranTurismo?

Accepted Answer

Maserati's own 3.0 twin-turbo V6, called Nettuno, with 490 hp or 590 hp in the Trofeo. The GranCabrio uses the same engines, and both come only with an automatic gearbox.

Question 3

Does a new Maserati V6 cost more in car tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

In cantons that tax power or engine size, clearly yes, as a 3.0 V6 sits high on their scales. Where weight alone counts the gap narrows; the holder's canton of residence decides.

Question 4

Should you buy a new Maserati or a used one in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

A new one brings the factory warranty and the exact specification you choose, but a large SUV or coupé loses much of its value in its first years. A young used one leaves that loss to the first owner.
