Question 1

Which engines does the new Ford Kuga have?

Accepted Answer

The 1.5 EcoBoost with 150 PS and a six-speed manual or 186 PS and an eight-speed automatic, the 2.5 full hybrid with 180 PS, or 183 PS with all-wheel drive, and the 2.5 plug-in hybrid with 243 PS. The hybrids use a continuously variable automatic.

Question 2

Which new Ford Kuga has all-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

Only the 183 PS full hybrid. The 1.5 EcoBoost and the plug-in hybrid drive the front wheels.

Question 3

What separates the Ford Kuga's trims?

Accepted Answer

Titanium leans to comfort, ST-Line and ST-Line X to a sporty look and Active X to a rugged one, with Style and the BlueCruise Edition completing the range. Each version shows its exact equipment.

Question 4

Should I buy a new Ford Kuga or a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new Kuga brings the full factory warranty and the latest update. A used third-generation Kuga costs less and has the same hybrid technology, though the plug-in had 225 PS before the update.

Question 5

How is a new Ford Kuga plug-in taxed in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

The 4% automobile tax is already in the list price. The annual car tax depends on your canton; where CO₂ counts, as in Vaud, the plug-in's low WLTP figure brings a large discount.
