Question 1

Which models does Cupra sell new in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

The Leon hatchback and Sportstourer estate, the Formentor and Terramar SUVs, and the electric Born, Tavascan and Raval. The Leon, Formentor and Terramar come as petrols or e-Hybrid plug-ins.

Question 2

Which new Cupra has all-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

The Formentor, Terramar and Leon Sportstourer with the 2.0 TSI carry 4Drive, as does the five-cylinder Formentor VZ5, and the electric Tavascan VZ adds a front motor. The Leon hatchback drives its front wheels.

Question 3

What does VZ mean on a Cupra?

Accepted Answer

VZ, short for veloz, Spanish for fast, marks the most powerful version of each Cupra model. Extreme and Adrenaline are more richly equipped editions; each version shows its exact equipment.

Question 4

Does a new electric Cupra pay car tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

That depends on your canton: Zürich, Solothurn and Glarus exempt electric cars such as the Born, Tavascan and Raval, others give a rebate or tax them in full. The automobile tax is already in the list price.
