Question 1

Which diesel engines does a new Audi have?

Accepted Answer

The 2.0 TDI with 193 hp in the Q3 and 204 hp in the A5, A6 and Q5, and the 3.0 V6 TDI with 286 hp in the Q8 and 299 hp in the A6, A6 allroad, Q5 and Q7.

Question 2

Do new Audi diesels have quattro?

Accepted Answer

Almost all do: every diesel Q3, Q5, Q7, Q8, A6 and A6 allroad has quattro. Only the A5 with the 204 hp TDI is also offered with front-wheel drive.

Question 3

Is a new diesel Audi worth it in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

For long distances and towing a TDI uses less fuel than a petrol of similar power. In cantons that tax weight and power, such as Vaud or St. Gallen, a heavy diesel SUV pays more each year, so check your own canton's basis.

Question 4

Should I buy a new Audi TDI or a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new TDI brings the full factory warranty and today's equipment, but loses most value in its first years. A young used TDI with a complete service history costs noticeably less.
