Question 1

Which engines does the new Audi Q5 have?

Accepted Answer

TFSI petrol engines with 204 or 272 hp, TDI diesels with 204 or 299 hp, and e-hybrid plug-ins with 299 or 367 hp and a 21 kWh battery. All drive through S tronic and quattro.

Question 2

Is the new Audi Q5 e-hybrid worth it in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

If you can charge at home or at work, much everyday driving can be electric. Some cantons also cut the annual tax for hybrids: Nidwalden charges half, and Aargau counts less weight and power for a plug-in.

Question 3

Does the list price of a new Audi Q5 include the automobile tax?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the 4% automobile tax and 8.1% VAT are already in a Swiss list price. On top come the road traffic office's fees for the Fahrzeugausweis and plates, and your canton's annual car tax.

Question 4

Should I buy a new Audi Q5 or a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new Q5 brings the full factory warranty and the third generation's new cabin and engines. A used second-generation Q5 costs much less, as the steepest depreciation has already happened.
