From CHF 500 to CHF 290,000, half under CHF 28,900 · Typically 2023 with 24,942 km · Most listed: Volkswagen Golf, Hyundai Tucson, and Peugeot 208. Neuchâtel ties its annual car tax to CO₂ and age: each year a car grows older, its bill shrinks, until only the base remains. An older petrol car is therefore cheaper to keep here than its emissions suggest, and electric cars pay the base alone.
