Which gearbox does the Mercedes GLB have?

A dual-clutch automatic: the 7G-DCT with the 1.3-litre petrol in the GLB 180 and 200, the 8G-DCT with the 2.0-litre engines and diesels. Both shift quickly and smoothly when serviced.

What should I check on a used GLB's dual-clutch gearbox?

That its oil was changed as the service plan requires, and how it pulls away and manoeuvres when cold. Jerks or hesitation in slow traffic can point to the clutches or the control unit.

Is the new Mercedes GLB an automatic?

Yes, every new GLB is: the GLB 200 and 220 hybrids, each also with 4MATIC, and the electric GLB 250+ and GLB 350 4MATIC, at list price beside the used cars.
