Question 1

Is the Mazda6 a good used saloon?

Accepted Answer

The Mazda6 of 2012 onwards has a good reputation, especially with the 2.0 and 2.5 Skyactiv-G petrol engines. On the 2.2 diesel, short trips can dilute the oil during particle-filter regeneration, so check the oil level and service record.

Question 2

What is the Skyactiv-X engine in the Mazda3?

Accepted Answer

A 2.0-litre petrol engine that uses a spark to trigger compression ignition, for economy closer to a diesel's. It was offered from 2019 with 180 hp and later 186 hp, with a manual or automatic gearbox.

Question 3

What is the difference between the Mazda3 Sedan and the hatchback?

Accepted Answer

The Sedan has a separate boot and a longer, more classic body, while the hatchback has a tailgate and a sloping roofline. Engines and equipment are largely the same.

Question 4
