Question 1

Is the Mazda2 Hybrid a Toyota Yaris?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Mazda2 Hybrid is built by Toyota on the Yaris, with the same 1.5-litre three-cylinder full hybrid and e-CVT. Mazda dealers service it, and parts are shared with the Yaris Hybrid.

Question 2

Is a Mazda with M Hybrid a real hybrid?

Accepted Answer

No, M Hybrid is Mazda's 24-volt mild hybrid on many Mazda3, CX-30 and CX-5 petrol engines. It assists the engine but cannot drive the car on electricity alone.

Question 3

What should I check on a used Mazda CX-60 plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

Whether it was charged regularly and how much electric range the battery still gives. Early CX-60s drew complaints about a firm ride and hesitant low-speed shifts from the eight-speed automatic, so a long test drive pays off.

Question 4
