Question 1

What is the difference between Skyactiv-G and Skyactiv-X in the Mazda CX-30?

Accepted Answer

Skyactiv-G is a conventional naturally aspirated petrol engine, while Skyactiv-X is a 2.0 that uses spark-controlled compression ignition for more torque and lower consumption. The X is more complex and cost more when new.

Question 2

Is the petrol Mazda CX-30 available with all-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

Yes, some versions have i-Activ AWD, which helps on snowy Swiss roads at the cost of a little fuel. In the current Swiss range it comes only with the Skyactiv-X.

Question 3

Does the petrol Mazda CX-30 come as a manual or an automatic?

Accepted Answer

Both: a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic with a torque converter, not a dual-clutch. The automatic is smooth in traffic, the manual uses a little less fuel.

Question 4

Which engines does the new Mazda CX-30 have in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

Two petrol mild hybrids: the 2.5 e-Skyactiv G with 140 hp and front-wheel drive, and the 2.0 e-Skyactiv X with 186 hp, also with all-wheel drive. Both come with a six-speed manual or automatic, in trims from Prime-Line to Takumi.
