Question 1

Which gearbox does the Lamborghini Huracán have?

Accepted Answer

A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, on every version from the 2014 LP 610-4 to the STO and Tecnica. It shifts quickly and smoothly, and its clutches and mechatronics are worth having checked by a specialist before buying.

Question 2

Is the Lamborghini Aventador's ISR gearbox a dual-clutch?

Accepted Answer

No, the Aventador's ISR is a seven-speed automated manual with a single clutch, so it shifts more abruptly than a dual-clutch, especially in town. Clutch wear depends heavily on how the car was driven, so ask a specialist for a wear reading.

Question 3

What is e-gear on a used Lamborghini Gallardo or Murciélago?

Accepted Answer

E-gear is Lamborghini's earlier automated manual: a conventional clutch worked by hydraulics and shifted with paddles. Its clutch wears faster than a manual's, particularly in stop-and-go driving.

Question 4

How is a Lamborghini taxed in a Swiss canton?

Accepted Answer

Each canton has its own basis, and the holder's canton decides. Where tax follows displacement or power, as in Valais or Fribourg, a V10 or V12 costs far more than an ordinary car, and Vaud adds 15% to 50% for high CO₂.
