Question 1

Which engines did the Kia Stinger have?

Accepted Answer

In Europe the Stinger came with a 2.0 T-GDi petrol, a 2.2 CRDi diesel and the 3.3 T-GDi twin-turbo V6 of the Stinger GT. Every version has an eight-speed automatic, and the V6 drives all four wheels.

Question 2

Is the Kia Stinger a saloon or a hatchback?

Accepted Answer

Technically a fastback: it looks like a saloon but opens with a large tailgate. That gives easier access to the boot than a classic saloon such as the Optima.

Question 3

Is a used Kia Optima plug-in hybrid worth buying?

Accepted Answer

It suits a driver with a charger at home: short commutes run on electricity, and the petrol engine takes over for longer trips. Check that the charging cable is there and have a Kia garage read out the battery.

Question 4

Does a Kia Stinger V6 cost much in Swiss car tax?

Accepted Answer

In a canton that taxes displacement, such as Valais or Graubünden, the 3.3-litre V6 pays clearly more than a four-cylinder. Cantons taxing weight and power, such as Vaud or Lucerne, also charge more for its power.
