Question 1

What should I check on a used Jaguar I-Pace?

Accepted Answer

The battery's state of health, and that every recall was carried out at a Jaguar workshop, as the I-Pace had battery-related recalls. A full charge also shows whether the range still fits the car's age.

Question 2

Which engines do used Jaguars have?

Accepted Answer

Most have Ingenium four-cylinder engines, a 2.0 diesel or a 2.0 petrol. Above them sit six-cylinder petrol engines, the supercharged 5.0 V8 in the F-Type and F-Pace SVR, and plug-in hybrids in the E-Pace and F-Pace.

Question 3

Do Jaguars have all-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

Many do: the F-Pace and E-Pace are often AWD, the XE and XF were offered with it, and the I-Pace always has it. In Switzerland, AWD versions are sought after for winter and mountain roads.

Question 4

Does a big Jaguar cost more in car tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

That depends on the canton: where tax follows engine size, weight or power, an F-Pace V8 pays far more than a four-cylinder E-Pace. An electric I-Pace pays nothing in Zürich, Solothurn and Glarus.
