What is Hyundai's iMT gearbox?

A six-speed manual whose clutch is engaged electronically rather than directly by the pedal. It lets a mild-hybrid Hyundai disconnect the engine and coast off the throttle to save fuel, while driving like an ordinary manual.

Is a used manual Hyundai cheaper than an automatic?

Usually, since an automatic cost extra when new and is in higher demand in Switzerland. On a test drive, check where the clutch bites and listen for noise from the release bearing.

Can you still buy a new Hyundai with a manual gearbox in Switzerland?

Yes, but only the small i20 and Bayon, both with petrol engines. Every other new Hyundai is automatic, and each version appears at its list price beside the used cars.
