What gearbox does a Hyundai hybrid have?

A six-speed automatic: a dual-clutch box in the Ioniq and Kona hybrids, a torque converter in the Tucson and Santa Fe. Both shift like an ordinary automatic, without the engine drone a CVT can bring under load.

What should I check on a used Hyundai plug-in hybrid?

Whether it was charged regularly, and the high-voltage battery's state of health. A Tucson or Santa Fe plug-in that was rarely plugged in has run mostly on its 1.6 turbo petrol engine.

Which new Hyundai hybrids are sold in Switzerland?

The Kona, Tucson and Santa Fe come as hybrids, as does the Staria van. Each version appears at its list price beside the used cars.

Unlike many rivals, Hyundai's full hybrids use a six-speed gearbox rather than a continuously variable one, so they drive much like a conventional automatic. The Ioniq started the range in 2016; the Tucson and Santa Fe later added plug-in versions.
