Question 1

What is the difference between the Tucson hybrid and the Tucson plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The full hybrid charges its small battery while driving and covers only short distances on electricity. The plug-in has a much bigger battery, charges from a socket and can run several dozen kilometres on electricity alone.

Question 2

What should I check on a used Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid?

Accepted Answer

The battery's state of health and whether the car was charged regularly, as a plug-in that rarely saw a socket uses a lot of petrol. A Hyundai workshop can read the battery data and confirm what remains of the battery warranty.

Question 3

What changed with the 2024 Hyundai Tucson update?

Accepted Answer

The interior was redesigned, with two screens joined in one curved panel, and the gear selector moved to the steering column. The exterior gained new lights and bumpers.

Question 4

Which versions does the new Hyundai Tucson hybrid come in?

Accepted Answer

The new Tucson comes as a 1.6 T-GDi full hybrid with 239 hp and as a plug-in hybrid with 288 hp and a 14 kWh battery, both automatic, with front- or all-wheel drive, in Amplia, Origo, Vertex and N Line trims, at list price beside the used cars.
