Question 1

What should I check on a used manual Ford with the 1.0 EcoBoost?

Accepted Answer

Ask when the timing belt was last changed: on the 1.0 EcoBoost it runs in engine oil, so the replacement interval and the right oil grade matter. Coolant loss or overheating on early engines also deserves a check.

Question 2

Does the Ford Puma come with a manual gearbox?

Accepted Answer

Yes, most Pumas with the 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid have a six-speed manual, and the first Puma ST, with its 1.5 three-cylinder, was manual-only. The electric Puma Gen-E has no manual.

Question 3

Is the Ford Mustang available with a manual gearbox?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the V8 Mustang has always been offered with a six-speed manual beside the automatic. In a canton that taxes engine size, its 5.0 litres weigh on the annual tax.
