Question 1

What should I check on a used Ford Puma 1.0 EcoBoost?

Accepted Answer

The service history above all: the three-cylinder's timing belt runs in oil and wears faster with the wrong oil or stretched services. Ask whether the belt was inspected or changed on schedule.

Question 2

What is the Ford Puma MegaBox?

Accepted Answer

A deep, washable compartment under the boot floor with a drain plug, handy for muddy boots or ski gear. It adds a lot of usable space to a car of this size.

Question 3

Is a used Ford Puma ST worth buying?

Accepted Answer

The original Puma ST has a 200 hp 1.5 EcoBoost, a six-speed manual and a sharper chassis, and is the one enthusiasts look for. Later ST versions with an automatic use a smaller 1.0-litre engine.

Question 4

Which versions does the new Ford Puma come in?

Accepted Answer

The new Puma comes with the 1.0 EcoBoost mild hybrid at 125, 155 or 160 hp, manual or PowerShift, and as the electric Puma Gen-E with 168 hp, in trims from Titanium and ST-Line to ST, at list price beside the used cars.
