Question 1

Is every Fiat Panda Cross four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

No, the Panda Cross was also sold with front-wheel drive, so check the exact version. On the third-generation Panda 4x4, an electronically controlled clutch sends power to the rear axle when needed.

Question 2

Which engine is best in a used Fiat 500 or Panda?

Accepted Answer

The 1.2 petrol with 69 hp is simple and well known. The 0.9 TwinAir two-cylinder is livelier, but its real fuel use is often well above the official figure; from 2020 a 1.0 mild hybrid replaced the 1.2.

Question 3

Is a small Fiat cheap to tax in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

In cantons that tax engine size or weight, such as Zürich, Bern or Valais, a light car with a small engine sits in the lowest bands. Elsewhere it also scores well, but the buyer's canton of residence decides.

Question 4

Which new small Fiats are sold in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

The 500 comes as a 65 hp mild hybrid with a manual gearbox and as the electric 500e, the Grande Panda in petrol and electric versions, and the Panda as a petrol. All sit at list price beside the used cars.
