Question 1

Which Cupra SUVs have all-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

The Ateca's 300 hp 2.0 TSI, the Formentor's most powerful 2.0 TSI versions and VZ5, and the Terramar's 2.0 TSI drive all four wheels through 4Drive. The e-Hybrid plug-ins drive the front wheels, and the Tavascan VZ adds a second electric motor.

Question 2

Is the Cupra Formentor a real SUV?

Accepted Answer

It is a crossover: lower and sportier than the Ateca, with a coupé-like roofline but a raised driving position. It was the first model designed for Cupra alone.

Question 3

What should I check on a used Cupra SUV with 4Drive?

Accepted Answer

That the DSG and the 4Drive coupling had their oil changed on schedule, as the service book should show. Brakes and tyres wear faster on the powerful versions, so check them too.

Question 4

Which new Cupra SUVs are sold in Switzerland?

Accepted Answer

The Formentor with petrol engines up to the VZ5 and e-Hybrid plug-ins, the Terramar as a petrol or plug-in hybrid, and the electric Tavascan, all automatic. They sit at list price beside the used cars.
