Is there a BMW 1 Series saloon with a separate boot in Switzerland?

BMW built a four-door 1 Series saloon with a separate boot, but did not sell it in Europe. Swiss 1 Series saloons are the five-door hatchback; the four-door alternative is the 2 Series Gran Coupé.

How big is the boot of a BMW 1 Series?

The F20 holds 360 litres and the F40 and F70 380 litres, more with the rear seats folded. The front-drive F40 and F70 also give rear passengers noticeably more legroom.

Three-door or five-door BMW 1 Series?

The E87 and F20 came as three-door and five-door hatchbacks; from the F40 of 2019 BMW built only the five-door. The five-door makes the rear seats far easier to reach, which counts with children.
