Question 1

Which used Audi Q5 generation is the best buy?

Accepted Answer

The second generation, from 2017, is lighter and more modern than the first. Its 2020 facelift brought a new MMI touchscreen in place of the rotary controller, while a first-generation Q5 costs less but is older technology.

Question 2

What should I check on a used Audi Q5 2.0 TFSI?

Accepted Answer

Early first-generation 2.0 TFSI engines, up to around 2012, are known for high oil consumption, often cured with new pistons and rings. Ask for proof of the repair or of an oil-consumption test.

Question 3

Is there a plug-in hybrid Audi Q5?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the second generation was sold as the TFSI e plug-in hybrid and the third as the e-hybrid. Check that the car was charged regularly and that the battery shows a good state of health.

Question 4
